We launched KYT with a single bag design – to prove our vision for redesigning & redefining diabetes.
KYT Crossbody was our first ever diabetes bag, launched waaay back in 2018. I had been talking to hundreds of people around the world with diabetes to test prototype ideas, and this design proved to be the most popular.
We produced a small run, found our first ever KYT customers, and realised that there were plenty of people around the world who were keen on designs that would help to empower them to manage diabetes every day.

You might recognise the design, which is similar to our new and improved SideKYT style. It held insulin pens and blood testing equipment, and our customers loved being able to separate their life essentials and diabetes equipment, which let us know that we were on to a good thing. We've since enhanced the bag with premium Italian leather and solid brass hardware, as well as nifty new features like the detachable trash pouch.
The best part of launching our very first KYT design was getting to know our customers and hearing stories about the adventures they got up to with their new diabetes sidekick. I mean, look at this gorgeous bunch!
We've come a long way since 2018. Your support has helped us to expand from one product idea into a KYT Collection, and I'm really excited to see where we head next.
