We put our mission to redesign and redefine diabetes on the world stage.
Those who have been following for a while might remember that we took a trip to London in 2019 to pitch KYT to a panel of judges at the D&AD Design Festival.
D&AD is short for Design & Art Direction; its awards festival is one of the biggest in the world for the design and creative industries. We took a punt on their 'Side Hustle' category, for design-driven businesses that are being run on top of day jobs.
We got to share the KYT story on stage and advocate for why life with diabetes deserves great design. The judges were encouraging and supportive and we walked away with second place – not too bad for a small business from New Zealand!
Now that we have three brand new designs, we've entered into D&AD again this year and we're excited to see that they have a whole new category for health and wellbeing – to award design that supports healthcare and wellbeing needs.
This is the start of the design revolution we've been hoping for – will keep you posted!
